The Mega Wicker Man

If you’ve ever seen this video, or perhaps seen the entire film (with or without Rifftrax enhancement), then you know that Nicholas Cage’s The Wicker Man is one goofy trip, filled with furries, girl-punching, and a whole lot of bees. The Mega Man series of video games, on the other hand, contains a whole lot of robots and “pew-pew”ing. Now, what could these two things possibly have in common?

Well, bees apparently. Someone on YouTube noticed that and cobbled together the above video, for great justice. Admittedly, the Wicker Man fan/video gamer niche is a small one, so if you don’t “get” it, just trust me — this is brilliant.

  1. Haha, someone posted that on the Dtoid forums a while back. Totally awesome.

  2. LOL As both an avid Mega Man fan, MST, and Wicker Man trailer aficionado, this killed me. I am all too familiar with the gameplay in the clip. Knuckle Man’s stage. From Mega Man 3 on the NES, one of the best and also toughest in the series. Nothing wiil ever beat 2 though.
