Deep Ape is not officially connected to Best Brains, Rifftrax, Cinematic Titanic, or Shout Factory and is 100% independent. The views expressed here are dumb, probably wrong, and they in no way represent the views of the aforementioned. Amen.

New Rifftrax: “Lord of the Rings 2: Back In The Habit”

Last Friday, the latest Rifftrax was released, adding the second chapter to Rifftrax’s commentaries of Peter Jackson’s Lord of the Rings trilogy. This time, Bill, Kevin, and Mike are all taking on the theatrical cut of The Two Towers, Tolkien’s middle-child. The sample clip of the Rifftrax made me laugh a lot, and you know what a tough crowd I can be, so this could be a good one, despite the site’s questionable 3.9 user rating.

  1. Any idea if this riff comes as two MP3s, as the Fellowship riff did? Or is it a single file?

  2. Sorry, I have no idea. I’m betting that it probably does though, as this film is at least as long as Fellowship.

  3. It’s just a single MP3.

  4. Ah, okay. Thanks, Matt.

  5. Alternate caption: “The Middle-Earth Community disapproves of your shenanigans.”

  6. Ooh, that’s a good one.

  7. I still need to check out the Rifftrax for Fellowship
