Deep Ape is not officially connected to Best Brains, Rifftrax, Cinematic Titanic, or Shout Factory and is 100% independent. The views expressed here are dumb, probably wrong, and they in no way represent the views of the aforementioned. Amen.

Recent Rifftrax Releases

In case you’ve missed it, there have been no less than three different Rifftrax releases, over the past month. Most notably, James Lileks (a guy from Minnesota that does stuff) guested on the just-released Spiderman 3 commentary. I absolutely loathed this film, an absolute butchering of what was a fine film series and some fine characters. I’m delighted to see it torn asunder. There’s only one movie cut to choose from, as far as I know, and my tiny pocketbook would be frighteningly giddy if you’d purchase it from here.

As for the other two releases, they’re more “On Demand” shorts. The first is entitled Safety: Harm Hides at Home, and is another classic piece of ’70s dreck starring everyone’s favorite freelance architect superheroine, Guardiana. (Regular readers might remember her from a similar short that I riffed, a couple of years ago.) The second short is one that was previously riffed by JoshWay, Are You Popular? They’re both just under a dollar and are DRM-free, as usual.

So, you know, go buy them and stuff.
