I ran across this a few weeks ago in my Google Alerts. Apparently, some overenthusiastic young lad has created a Cinematic Titanic wiki. Now, granted, the title (“Wikimatic Titanic”) is clever, but how useful is this, really? The series’ first episode is barely out the door, and episode two hasn’t been recorded, and now we need a wiki? Wikis usually need, you know, content. And even if people were being productive with it (they aren’t), there’s not yet a rich well from which to draw.
So, if you’re feeling generous, give it a go. (You know how wikis work, right?) Still, having said that, I would prefer to point you to the much more substantial MST3K wiki linked in the sidebar. I’m not directly affiliated with it, but I support the project fully. It’s in dire need of some editors. Content seems to be getting thrown up there with little regard for smooth functionality and accessibility. So, yeah. CineWiki if you must, but MST3K wiki, won’t you?
I’ll probably post a wiki-related rant, in the coming months. Excitement! Oh, and aren’t you just hot for my new “internet news” banner? Don’t lie.
