Deep Ape is not officially connected to Best Brains, Rifftrax, Cinematic Titanic, or Shout Factory and is 100% independent. The views expressed here are dumb, probably wrong, and they in no way represent the views of the aforementioned. Amen.

Wil Wheaton and The Interwebs Heart Cinematic Titanic

Recovering Wesley Crusher and my own personal blogging hero (ye gads, that would be a lame video game — Blogging Hero), Wil Wheaton has given Cinematic Titanic some promotion on his extremely popular, and extremely awesome, blog. My admiration for, and enjoyment of, Wil knows no bounds (except those of human decency), and I’ve always been glad to hear that he’s a MSTie. And a gamer. And a huge geek. Here’s pretty much one of the best persons ever.

On top of that, the Cinematic Titanic promotion is in full-swing elsewhere. USA Today’s Pop Candy blog gave it a mention. The mighty BoingBoing‘s Cory Doctorow praised the living hell out of the project. Wired also noticed them again. Perhaps most importantly, DVD Talk offers up the first (that I’ve seen, at least) professional review of Oozing Skull. They loved it, though they thought it was a bit stiff — not surprising for their first episode, really.

I can honestly say that I’m dying for my review copy to come…

  1. Download our first episode now on [CENSORED]:

[EDIT: I seriously doubt this is Joel Hodgson, but until I get a confirmation that he wants us to download Cinematic Titanic for free via torrents, I’m keeping the link out of this comment. – Hugh]
