More Volume 11 Details… and Flaws?

MST3K’s Volume 11 box set doesn’t hit stores until June 26th, but DVD Talk has a review up already. It’s a generally favorable review, and there is (as usual) both good news and bad news. The good news, is the presence of the “Video Jukebox” tracklisting:

“Clown in the Sky”
“The Janitor Song”
“The Greatest Frank of All”
“When Loving Lovers Love”
“The Many Tunes of Gamera”
“A Patrick Swayze Christmas”
“The Bomb Song”

A pretty decent selection, even if Rhino‘s double-dipping some past releases. It’s good to see “Greatest Frank of All” finally get released. The bad news, and the reason for this post’s header image, relates to Horrors of Spider Island.

According to the reviewer, the episode contains “several horizontal video glitches.” However, these do not appear to be Rhino’s fault and are likely from Jim Mallon’s master tape, as was the case with The Dead Talk Back. It’s good to get this out in the open now, so the number of complaints is lower than it was with prior screw-ups, come June 26th. Rhino isn’t perfect, but let’s not blame them for problems they can’t fix.
