Deep Ape is not officially connected to Best Brains, Rifftrax, Cinematic Titanic, or Shout Factory and is 100% independent. The views expressed here are dumb, probably wrong, and they in no way represent the views of the aforementioned. Amen.

Next Rifftrax: Willy Wonka!

Gene Wilder’s 1971 classic Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory will be the next Rifftrax, blah blah blah. The real news (in my opinion)? Doogie Howser will be guest riffing! Why is this so exciting? I don’t really know. But he’s kind of a B-list celeb, which is fairly significant for Rifftrax. He’s a reasonably funny guy and it’ll be nice to hear Mike riff alongside someone new who’s more accustomed to comedic performance. (With all due respect to Rich Kyanka and “Chad Vader,” of course.) It should be out next Friday. Perhaps, one of these days, we’ll hear a female guest riffer? Maybe? Please?

Incidentally, I’m sure he would be thrilled that I only referred to him as “Doogie Howser.” Let me just call him by his real name, just once: Neil Patrick Harris. There. Happy? Check out the full, horriffic artwork behind the cut…
