Kevin Murphy on “Manos”

You know… “Manos.”

MetroActive has a new article up about the badness of those Hands of Fate and their position in the IMDB‘s Bottom 100. They go to our Kevin Murphy for some soundbytes, and he provides a few recollections about his brush with the Torgster. It’s a decent article, which touches on the troubling fact that all these kids today are voting lame recent films into the Bottom 100, thus bumping out the true classics that MST3K tussled with.

Go check it out. It’s generally pretty right-on, but did the Brains actually riff on Torgo in MST3K: The Movie? Because I’m really not remembering that. (The “Manos” device shouldn’t count.)

  1. Nice. Their comments on the bottom 100 are right on. It’s a fickle list. As much as I love Troll 2 it really should be back in the top 5 as it once was. There’s a film that needs riffing. —-> On that thought I take a quick trip to the rifftrax forum and find a bombardment of anti-Troll 2 posts. They even made a name for us ‘Troll2sies’!!!

  2. And then ten pages of arguing later I find they have done Troll 2! It seems they hide away the older films from the front page. Are they ashamed? lol.
