Ladies and gentlemen, the feud continues. Bill Corbett and Mary Jo Pehl are at it again, and this time the streets will run red with blood. Or perhaps that’s just Gillian Anderson’s hair dye. I’m not quite sure.
In what can only be described as a riff-off (because that’s what it is), Bill and Mary Jo will be teaming up for the new Rifftrax Presents series, to take on The X-Files: Fight the Future. So, on June 3rd, tune in to find out who will survive. Two riffers will enter, and only one riffer named Bill will run crying out of the theater.
But there’s a bit of a problem, as far as I can see. A quick look at Amazon tells me the film is not currently in print, in its individual form. I was able to find it here at Tower, but not on any other legitimate sites. It is, however, part of a 3-pack here, if you’re desperate. But you can also pick up cheap used or new copies of the film here and here, via Amazon’s marketplace. And if you’re okay with digital downloads, you can easily buy or rent it via Amazon Unbox.
Must be a conspiracy. Don’t let them silence this Rifftrax! BELIEVE. (But please do correct me if I’m wrong about the availability of the DVD. My Matlocking abilities are weak, tonight.) This one also features the writing talents of a couple of the Rifftrax community’s finest — JoshWay and Courtney Enlow.

I’ve seen the movie sometimes in the $5.50 DVD section at Target.
I wouldn’t be surprised it’s re-released in time for the new X-Files movie. The last DVD was fairly bare bones on extras and whatnot.
Looks like someone just bought the last one: “Availability: This item is not currently available on Tower.com.”
I’m no hardcore X-phile or anything, but I am really surprised to learn that they let this movie go out of print at all considering the cult.
Conspiracy, or MST3K:TM-level rights snafu?
Could be a mistake, or they could just be planning a new version to coincide with the coming sequel.
