I mentioned before that Mary Jo Pehl was appearing at a convention for fans of The Blob. Well, it went down this past weekend, and the Cinemaslave blog was there in Phoenixville, PA, for all the… blobiness. Mr. Joe Barlow has posted a recap of his experience there. As expected, there weren’t too many people there to see Ms. Pehl. (I mean, think about it. When you think of places to find a Brain, a The Blob convention is not the first place that comes to mind.) Fortunately, that meant plenty of quality time with the fans she did encounter, and it sounds like a good time was had by all. Next time, MJ, visit a little further east, around New Jersey, and stop by my place for some watered-down iced tea and cheese sandwiches. Only the best, for a Brain.
Now, it’s time to track down Joe Barlow for his DVD of MST3K: The Movie…

Is that a FIRM offer on the watered-down ice tea and cheese sandwiches, Matt?
Absolutely. I’ll break out the good stuff, for you two.
I was at Blobfest and I looked everywhere for Mary Jo! We caught a glimpse of her when she was judging the costume contest but then lost track of her afterwards. Quite bummed because I was looking forward to meeting her. I hope she comes again next year!
Eightk,
We’re planning on being there next year. Sorry we missed you! Everybody was up on the 3rd floor of the theater that afternoon talking and signing autographs. Probably wasn’t publicized enough. Hope to see you next year.
